Is Historic Houses Membership Worth It? My Honest Review
Is Historic Houses membership worth it? My honest review of the £71 fee, free-entry restrictions, unusual properties and who will get the best value.
Historic Houses brings together independently owned castles, stately homes, gardens and estates across the UK. Many remain lived-in family homes, giving each property its own character, history and a slightly different experience from places managed as part of a larger national collection.
This collection includes my visits, photographs, guides and seasonal ideas connected with Historic Houses properties. Expect grand interiors, remarkable gardens, family stories, special openings and historic places that are not always as widely known as they deserve to be.
There are hundreds of properties still waiting to be explored, so this archive will grow as I make use of my membership — probably with several unplanned stops along the way.
Considering a membership? I’ve also written about whether Historic Houses membership is worth it, including my own experience, the benefits and a few things worth knowing before you join.
