Sometimes the best stops aren’t planned.
One More Stop started with a habit I seem to have developed while travelling: spotting something interesting on the map and thinking, “I’ll just make one more stop.” Sometimes it’s a castle, a village, a viewpoint or a place I’d never even heard of five minutes earlier.
Some turn out to be incredible. Some are slightly underwhelming. 😆 And occasionally a five-minute detour becomes the best part of the entire day. This is where I keep those stories — along with the history, practical information and things I wish I’d known before arriving.
Meet Joseph
I’m Joseph, the person behind One More Stop. I explore historic places, towns, villages, coastlines and the occasional completely unplanned detour — usually with a camera in hand and another place already appearing on the map.
I’m not here to pretend every destination is amazing. I’ll share what I loved, what surprised me, what wasn’t quite worth the hype, and the history that made me look at a place differently.
Most of my trips aren’t carefully planned itineraries. I might set out for one particular place, then notice a castle, viewpoint or village nearby and decide there’s time for just one more stop. Quite often, those unexpected detours become the places I remember most.
