Halloween doesn’t have to involve expensive attractions, complicated bookings or travelling miles out of Bournemouth.
On Saturday 31 October 2026, Southbourne Grove will be celebrating with Southbourne Pumpkin Fest 2026, a free community event featuring a pumpkin trail, creative activities, entertainment and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the neighbourhood’s independent businesses.
Running from 10am until 4pm, the festival offers an easy Halloween outing without the pressure of a tightly scheduled programme.

What’s Happening at Southbourne Pumpkin Fest 2026?
The main attraction is the Southbourne Pumpkin Trail, where local traders display their carved creations along the high street.
Start at Southbourne Green, collect a pumpkin voting token and explore the shops and businesses taking part. Once you’ve chosen your favourite creation, use your token to vote.
The festival also includes Halloween games, music, face painting and creative activities, with children’s entertainment around Southbourne Green and Wentworth Avenue.
Fairground rides and optional purchases may cost extra, but admission to the festival itself is free.
Fancy dress is encouraged, so expect Southbourne to look rather different from an ordinary Saturday shopping trip!

Parking and Getting There
Southbourne Grove is served by local buses, and there are several parking options in the surrounding streets and council car parks.
Woodside Road car park (BH5 2BA) is one option to consider. Check current parking charges and any Halloween road restrictions before setting off, as parts of the high street may be busier than usual.
