A fireworks evening with free admission is becoming something of a rarity, particularly when fairground entertainment and family activities are included.
Ferndown Fireworks Night 2026 takes place on Saturday 31 October at King George V Playing Fields in Ferndown, bringing together fireworks, music, food and seasonal entertainment.
With gates opening at 3pm, there’s plenty of time to arrive before the evening displays and enjoy the atmosphere.

What to Expect at Ferndown Fireworks Night 2026
The event includes two fireworks displays, alongside music, fairground attractions, food stalls and entertainment for families.
The earlier opening time makes it possible to spend part of the afternoon exploring the stalls before the sky gets dark enough for fireworks.
Although entry is free, food, drinks and fairground rides may involve additional charges.
The event is organised by Funfest Events Ltd and supports the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation, a Dorset charity helping young people achieve their ambitions.
Unlike some major bonfire-night celebrations, there is no expensive entry ticket just to get through the gates.
